CR1 - Interview - LDN

Hi

I received an email yesterday morning from AskNVC and the letter stated that there is some information missing and that I am to show it at my interview. the information in question is my wife's financial documents as she is sponsoring me. She is earning enough to look after 8 dependents according to the poverty guidelines and she is only sponsoring me. so I am unsure why they need further information. It tells me to bring further information to the visa interview.

How long is it until I get my visa interview? Does it come in the post or by email? I heard London is quite good.

Did you include things like her W-2s/tax transcripts for the the past couple of years, and a letter from her employer confirming her position, time held, and salary? This is the kind of evidence of income that you will need to bring in support of the forms that you completed. If you did include all of that, then I'm not sure what else they could be referring to...

As for the interview, I'm afraid I'm not sure. I was a K1, so timelines may be different. I do believe that all visa classes book their interviews online for London though, so you won't receive anything from them with regards to that. Have you received an NVC number and confirmation that your case is on its way to/at the embassy?

01/18/17 - I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX

05/19/17 - NVC received and case number assigned

05/26/17 - Case left NVC, status 'In Transit'

05/30/17 - Medical

05/31/17 - Consulate received

07/13/17 - Interview, APPROVED!

07/21/17 - Visa in hand

07/22/17 - POE Newark, successful

08/31/17 - NOA1 date on AOS packet

Hi

Yeah, we gave W-2s and also letter from her employee stating how much my wife earns.

Yeah, the letter says that they will be in touch with me about my interview appointment. Since I am a CR10 my process may be a little different. All I am told is "that NVC will continue working on my case and will schedule a visa interview appointment overseas."

NVC books your interview in London. Look around the NVC forum to get a clue on timing. If there was a problem with her affidavit of support, it wasn't because of her earnings but the failure to document them exactly as required. Read the instructions that go with the I-864. They are much more specific than the K1 fiancé form I-134 And there is no flexibility in London or elsewhere on providing the documentation.

You must provide her 2016 tax documents at a minimum. That is the entire tax return plus W2 or 1099-MISC wage statement. Or a tax return transcript ordered from the IRS. For the I-864 an employer letter is optional and would be used in the case of a new job or raise when that required tax return did not show as much as she makes now. Whatever she puts in Part 6, number 2 (My current individual annual income is) needs to be documented.  If she said $50,000  but her tax return shows $30,000, then use the optional proofs of income to show $50k.
