Hello,

Do we need to get PCC from a country where we worked 25 years ago? Is there any exemptions/waiver for this? Not even sure whether we get PCC for this old. Please share your experience.

Thanks

If it was longer than 6 months, yes.

Anywhere you lived at older than 16 years for a year or longer you need it. Did you read the DoS “reciprocity by country” section for details of how to apply for a PCC from the country you need it for yet?

@SusieQQQthanks for sharing that.  I have lived in the UAE for more than 6 months.  I just opened the link u sent and typed United Arab Emirates and for police certificate it says the person should be there in person to obtain it. So do i have to travel to UAE  from the UK to obtain police certificate?

I can hardly claim to be an expert on obtaining PCCs from all countries! The reason for posting the link was so that people could have access to the official guidance from the Department of State on how to get PCCs from the countries where they need to. I can’t tell you any more than you can read on that page. Sorry.
