Hey everyone,

 

i know i didnt have to mail my fiancees birth birth certificate along with the i129f but I just did it because I had it. I know I really only need it for the visa interview and I didn’t mail a translated copy. 

 

Since csc doesnt need the the birth certificate, will they hit me with an rfe if it’s not translated?  I’m planning on having a translated copy to the interview.

They just might if they can't decipher what's written on the document.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My VN wife translated her birth certificate, which was just a dirty piece of paper with a stamp on it. I don't know if it will matter or not, but I'd take a translated copy with you to the interview. Take everything to the interview - just in case. Good luck!
