My fiancé and I have still not gotten NOA2, despite an NOA1 date of April 26. We did get an RFE over a month ago, and we received notice that our response was received on September 25.

Yesterday (October 24), I got an email saying we are being sent ANOTHER R.F.E.

I'm so upset as back in April, we thought he'd be here by Christmas and New Year's, and then we pushed it back to thinking February because it's taken so long.... and now it seems it might be as far away as March (almost a year later).

Has anyone gotten an R.F.E. and what was it for the second time?

Secondly, does a decision after a second R.F.E. go faster than the time after a first? Or should I expect to wait another four weeks to hear about NOA2?

I'm starting to panic and think that I'll have to go to Spain, get married, and start the process all over again with a CR1. We were really hoping to start to try for a baby in the spring :/

What was the first RFE for? The second RFE could be for anything, but usually multiple problems are addressed in 1 RFE, so it's possible this 2nd RFE is related to the 1st one.

It will likely still take several weeks to review after you submit the requested documents. I wouldn't panic yet if I were you however. Even a few week slow down with an additional RFE will still be much faster than filing a CR1. He still has a possibility of being here by March.

First RFE was because I didn't check a few boxes, and to prove that Ok Cupid isn't an international marriage broker. I checked the boxes and printed out the site's terms and services. I also wrote a cover letter related to all these.

I have no idea what I could have done wrong with that to warrant a second R.F.E....I know I have to wait, but it's really frustrating to see all these people whose whole process took 5 months start to finish, and we are looking at the possibility of up to a year.....

If we had known, we would have just gotten married in the early summer so that he'd be in the process of getting his green card by now.....

Hopefully this 2nd RFE will be another simple fix so that you can return whatever information they need to them quickly.

The K-1 process has been taking longer these days, I would say it's about 6-9 months from filing to visa in hand on average in 2017. The CR1 process does take a little longer though (anywhere from 9-12+ months), so had you married in Spain in the early summer, you would likely still be waiting at this point as well.

Hang in there though, everything goes so much faster after NOA2!

Can I ask what the final outcome was for you? I recently also received notice that they are sending a second RFE after having filed almost a year ago!! And I'm in the same boat, I have no idea what else they could want from me?!? Was it any faster is response to the second RFE reply? For me the first reply after my initial RFE was 60 days.
