I and my family members have been waiting for an update on our case from last 8 months now. Its first time H1B. There has not a single update on our case since the date of our appointment/interview. Our interview was only few seconds long, VO asked two questions and then he said you will receive an email with more information and retained our passports. I have not received any email and I am tired of getting the same standard reply from the Consulate. We lived there for one year on J1 visa and came back to apply for H1B and then got stuck here. Not sure what to do..

Hello, I have been on AP since January and a couple of days ago my status changed to expired and I have no idea why. We were not sent an documents and I do not know why it would say expired. What can I do from here on out or is my case over?

Here is what the status says

"You have been notified that your registration for an immigrant visa was cancelled, and any petition approved on your behalf was also cancelled. We informed you that your application might be reinstated if, within one year, you could establish that your failure to pursue your immigrant visa application was due to circumstances beyond your control.

Since you have failed to do so, the record of your registration and any petition approved on your behalf and all supporting documents have been destroyed; any Department of Labor certification has been returned to your prospective employer.

If you are still interested in obtaining an immigrant visa, the petitioner should contact the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding filing a new immigrant visa petition.

I am sorry to hear this.. did they ask you for additional info to submit to embassy? also who filed the case for you they could have cancel your case. If you don't response to them within 1 year then your case will automatically cancel and send back to USCIS.

Assalamualaikum! I had my interview on 15th of November and I was given 221g and was put on AP. I know there are lots suffering with this. I think we should make a whatsapp group where we can share our updates. It is kind of hard here. Anyone up for it?

I am not sure if anyone agree to this that's why this website is here. I think that would be a bit too personal.
