Salam every one!

I have been in AP since Jan 23 2018, my interview was OK, my category is IR-1 Cr1. After interview they gave me white paper and then they emailed me additional questionnaire. Send several inquiries even through Congress man but no luck. Its been more than 11 months. I heard after 12 month they usually terminate case. Not sure why they taking so long.

So in this case what should I do?

And my wife came last week.

Need suggestions.

May Allah solves our problems

They do not terminate the case after 12 months. Even after 12 months the case remains in AP. We have a person from Isb embassy waiting for 17 months in AP. I hope you do not have to wait long and may you get your visa soon IA. Good luck. Also I recommend your petitioner to talk to a lawyer at this point to see what options you have. Keep us updated.

I agree with @Rosepetal3333. They will only terminate the case if you don't follow up. Just make sure that you reach out to them before the expiry date. Is your case updated regularly? Try contacting Department of State. It seems like people have had luck with them. Have your senator contact them again. Some people waited years before their case cleared. Consulting a lawyer is a good idea but I am not sure if it really speeds up the process.

Hi All,
My family and I had a F31 visa interview on 12th Dec 2018 and on 17th Dec Islamabad embassy emailed me asking me to fill up an additional questionnaire (also called DS 5535).Since then, there has been some updates  but still specifically my id says administrative processing while everyone else's says ready. My mom is the primary applicant. Additionnally, I have a valid F2 visa as I go to college in USA and my semester has already started.Do you think its wise to email embassy and get my passport back so I can travel while the administrative processing takes place or should I wait till the F31 approval? Would it hurt my F31 case? Thanks a lot

Hello peoples.

I had interview today and visa officer gave me 221(g) form and asking my sons birth certificate whos in united states right now.At same time officer said they can ask more document if needed.

He told me that i need to wait for 2 to 3 months.

Will they grant me a visa if i submit my son birth certificate? I am so confused now!

You have to give more information what's checked/not checked on the paper you got. If CO highlighted "Evidence of economic solvency" then most probably he/she must have checked whether you need a co-sponsor. If CO checked "Administrative Processing" then it can take days/months or even years. Try to upload your docs as soon as you can.
