Hello All,

I am creating a new topic for AP update from US consulate Islamabad.. Please share your update here...

My case still in AP 135 days completed today and still pending... i sent inquiry on 10/18 and still got the same reply. I also contact congressman they receive the same response as well so the best way is to wait for their response..Hope everyone AP clear soon.

Here is an update for our case:

My husband started a new job in Dubai in July, just last month. We were going to ask for his interview at UAE embassy, but he said yesterday he wants to go back to the Islamabad embassy for his interview. Sounds crazy to me, BUT when I started thinking about it, it makes some sense. He speaks the language, knows the procedure there. EVEN though, I'm sure he has a target on his back because we filed a formal complaint against them after his horrible interview. From what I understand, you can take a lawyer and your spouse into this embassy, while you can't do either in Abu Dhabi. He feels more comfortable with urdu speakers. From what I understand, Abu Dhabi is no piece of cake for an interview either. All of his lawyers in Pakistan advise him to have his interview there. Especially since we may have to rebutt and appeal again.

I am filing our second Cr-1 this week. I will keep you posted. We are at the point now, at our ages, that we have accepted that we may be a long-distance marriage forever. BUT we sure as heck aren't giving up. If they don't approve us this time, we will rebutt and appeal this time. We didn't appeal the last one because it would just add another year or more to our case.

I urge anyone who has had a terrible experience in Islamabad to file a complaint. Nothing will get done unless enough people stand up for what is right. In my school, we teach kids to stand up to bullies. How can we expect that if we are too afraid to do the same? Don't be a bystander....

hi numlian, that is indeed good news and sign, congratulations to both of you. but could you please more details for our knowledge that:

1) when he had an interview

2) what actually happened in an interview that CO assigned REFUSED initially

3) which letter CO gave to him while REFUSED; i.e. 221(g) or else

3) how much time he remained in REFUSED state after interview

4) did you provided any waiver to US consulate / CO that they revert from REFUSED to READY again

although status changed READY usually assigned when preliminary documentation of applicant seems to be in order and in next stage biometrics is required along with interview to determine eligibility. but assuming your brother already had an interview earlier, so they might be doing something internally to review case again based on internal responses / or probably calling again for biometrics and interview again (if provided waiver by petitioner/applicant). based on responses to above queries might be able to guide for next stage.

good luck

Thankx for reply

1)they had interview at isb embassy in Dec 2015

2)co didn't request for additional doc few day after status

During this panic time I as a member of VJ think about them who spent more than 3 years in AP.

Refused was for a few week, during refuse time his attorney myself on his behalf and one of my friend always keeps the embessy disturbed via emails, fax and inquiries after 14 days
