walaikum assalam, uh, here is the catch "five persons of family got interview call but her elder son went into army" now they will investigate very thoroughly. all the best

She recieved an email just today after updating her case..

Your immigrant visa case has recently been reviewed. In order to move forwarded and process your case, our office would like you to submit the following:

  • Affidavit of Support on form I-864, with most recent year's taxes from the petitioner in your immigrant visa case.  The new joint sponsor’s affidavit of support must include an original signed form I-864, federal tax returns from the most recent year 2016, and evidence of employment.

Does it mean to a new AOS or the older one to send, if older than they must have that copy..

Wow, good to hear about progress. please send 'em all most recent documents, counselor officer also gave me letter then I provided most recent documents including petitioner's passport front page with biometric, tax returns, pay stub, employment letter and affidavit of support with all necessary, our bank statements for current financial standing.

because till day, no female ever dared to attack USA, usually they look so innocent that visa counselor officer can't deny them. but due to some bullshit damn mullahs from around the world and secondly contribution of other illegal activities, for us there is thorough background check is done including LEA and foreign agencies to ensure that no terrorist (or suspect, criminal) can get to USA, despite the fact that he appear nice and educated . they will treat you like a "nobody cares who you are and what you do"

first of all, go to below link and download Form I-864P (PDF, 242 KB)

URL: https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

You need to understood guidelines provided in document and then need to respond accordingly. However, in my humble opinion there is no harm in having joint sponsor because it will add value and assurance that there is someone to support you when in need despite having enough financial resources. All depends how many family members immigrating, what is financial strength of sponsor (if it is not good then joint sponsor mandatory, we did too), also what is financial strength of immigrating family as are they able to survive till they get Citizenship.

Is that helped you or need more clarity?

1) Figure out which state you are immigrating from document, then

2) calculate: 1.25 x 35,975 <---(because total immigrants are 5 so picked this amount)

3) 125% of HHS Poverty Guidelines: 44968.75 (sponsor must be earning at least or above this amount per year in your case. If sponsor have own dependents e.g. spouse, children or any relative then you need to include them as well in total number to gauge required amount. or better way it to find joint sponsor)

hope now its clearly communicated, please let know if you are still unsure

Why this has to be figured out by us.. its we who are becoming Einstein of immigration and going into these facts and figures, dont think sitting outside bother such. Things are becoming complicated day by day.. If nvc approved this AOS and she was approved for visa too then why new joint sponsor.. Actually my mother applied for us three and we had to find different sponsors for AOS.. Now its reallt hard to find another... :(

because this is mandatory and determines which AOS form is required on your part, if you submit wrong documents or do not provide correct information to officer then either your case permanently will be closed or continue to linger on for considerable time then you will end up not where. better understand what they need and provide them asap, instead of getting upset. no offense.
