As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread around the world, the U.S. Government has suspended visa services and canceled related non-emergency immigrant and nonimmigrant visa interview appointments at U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world.

Information for visa applicants regarding novel coronavirus:  As of 17 March, the United States Embassy and Consulates in Pakistan are cancelling routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments.  Your visa appointment stands as cancelled.  We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.  The MRV fee is valid and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment.  If you have an urgent matter and need to travel immediately, please follow the guidance provided at our GSS site to request an emergency appointment.

Due to the suspension of IV services, Embassy Pakistan recommends that IV applicants consider postponing visits to a panel physician site to complete a medical exam.  Medical exam results are valid for a maximum of six months.

Once they are re-opened schedule a new appointment and medical as needed.  Your visa will expire 6 months from the date of the medical.  You may want to re do the medical.

Yes it expires on the 26th.. but it’s odd how they called us to ask us if he could travel by the 26th. We’re hoping for some positive news this week...
