AP (i.e background/security checks) is the period of time before the visa is issued, before a decision is made.  How did they travel without a visa?

He had a valid student visa and got a job under it and his case was being adjudicated for a different category which was in AP. His job allowed him to travel back to USA. I don’t have the specifics of the case which is why I adviced this student visa case guy to reach out to the lawyer and ask.

Very comprehensive.  Just a correction, medical reports for Pakistan are valid for 6 months vs a year.

Actually no, it is valid for 1 year.

Its 6 months.  My husband had to redo his medical when we had a second interview because they said it was only valid for 6 months.  He had one in November 2017 and a second in September 2018.

My parents case updated to Expiring soon today after we resent medical last month. I see DS form is open too.

It states Expiring SOON:

We have paper trail and email trail of submitting all we were asked. Any advice to what i should do? Has anyone seen this before?
