I don't know where you got that info but only the DS-157 is stamped.

I paid the required amount in pesos at the authorized bank.

The bank provided for the DS-157 and had it stamped by the teller upon payment.

Same here. I did have a PDF form that i already filled out and printed out. I didn't realize the teller was going to give us a brand new BLANK form and stamepd that. I figured she was going to ask us for the form and I had it ready. Oh well, we just filled up the one she gave us. I wonder though if others have tried giving their own form to be stamped?

My lady was given a ds-157 from the bank with stamp. This is one of the authorized banks so they know what form to stamp. I am not sure if it really makes a difference as long as it shows you paid, but go by what they give you at the bank.

The instruction sheet in Packet 3 mistakenly lists DS 156 as the form that needs to be stamped and this is what causes the confusion. DS 157 is the correct form to be stamped.

Does my fiance have to have her packet before she pays her interview fee at the bank? We checked the embassy website and it said her medical is in about 35 days. Her interview is in 43 days. Can she fill out her ds-156 online, print it out, take it to the bank and pay her fee before she gets her packet?
