Please keeep us posted. My package got delivered today. Hoping i get acceptance notice, by then I get peace of mind. haha :)

I really wish we get our EAD soon. I want to work again  and travel so i can get my stuff in Canada.  The green card can take however long they want just just please give us travel and work permit.

Oh I know. EAD is what I really want to be approved right away. I am so bored. Green card can come later.

I was reading articles here and there online regarding service centers and I can't find a concrete explanation only it says that it depends on each service centers work load so they distribute the applications to keep it balance and I was also reading a thread from VJ that says;

Quote

The NBC (was also called Missouri Service Center back then hence 'MSC') handles the initial review of applications sent concurrently but they handle mostly I-765 and I-131 applications."

And they transfer the other Forms such as Form 485 to your local field office.  Did that make sense? But then again, these are not concrete informations. If anyone else out there that can confirm please enlighten us. :)

How many pages did u have to fill in?

Also once you get a text that it has been received..what does that mean? Is it "pending" then and you can look for work? Or??

omg lots! u have to read the instructions for each because there are specific instructions..

I probably wasted 2 rims reprinting and reprinting. @.@

The text would just mean your form is  accepted and it meets acceptance criteria (Sometimes people write  thewrong amount on the cheque, or forms not signed, or forms are old version)...

I think you also get text when there is a new update on your application... Text updates s is a special service. You have to fill out this form (Form G1145) and attach to the first page of each of your form

https://www.uscis.gov/g-1145

----

If you are aiming for Adjustment of Status, you can't go out of USA for 3 to 4 months while your EAD card is pending

EAD is a temporary card you get that would authorize you to travel outside USA and given advanced parole and authorizing you to work. You have to get this before you start working..

EAD is what you get if you also fill up FORM I-131 (Application for Travel Document) and I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization)

Good news, we received text messages and emails today about our case. It was sent to NBC. What I don´t like about this service center is because is hard to track. But I am happy that they finally sent  our notification.

There is a difference in what service center your application is sent. Some are slower and some are fast. Hopefully will be fast for all of us.

Just sent our package less than 2 hours ago!

Wedding was on 10/10 but boy, does it take time to get everything ready when you're doing it on your own.

Plus, living on an island doesn't exactly help.

It's supposed to be delivered in 2-3 days so I hope I'm still technically an October filer but my PD might be early November.

Time will tell!

Good luck everyone!

05/24/2017 Entered the US on a J1 visa

it does! haha. but its worth it.  I reviewed my application several times and still found errors until its error frees and sent it!

I started in Sept, with very little understanding of the whole porcess.

It seems simple but have to read instructions to make sure we got things right.

I saw some people who had their priority dates on the day their application was received by USCIS
