Got my green card today. USPS missed me yesterday but I picked it up at the post office this morning.

I second what shakeyy said.. if you have a non-squeeky-clean past, it's best to wait for the green card.

Hi ajs1984, is there a way to track the green card? I got a notification that it was mailed already but there is no tracking number provided. I wonder how are you guys tracking it? Is it one of those mails that need personal signature upon receipt?

Any luck?

Its been 130 days for me. No EAD/AP or interview notice.

I've scheduled a meeting with them at the earliest possible opening (next Wednesday). Have no idea whether it will have any effect on my case but kinda feels good just to have something lined up.

122 days for me :/

Out of interest, is your application being processed at the National Benefits Center?

I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

10/30/2017: Priority Date

11/07/2017: SMS Confirmation

11/07/2017: 4 NOA's received in Mail

Yes. All I-485 related EAD/AP are processed at NBC

I have heard that infopass is really not that helpful, but do keep us posted.

I didn't realise this.

Also, it's a meeting at my congressman's office, not with infopass.

Thank you! I actually signed up for that already, but they couldn't verify me online so I have to go to a post office to do it. I got the approval letters today, so hopefully I get the green card soon too. If I don't get them by early next week, I'll just ask the hubby to drive me to the nearest USPS office for the required personal verification.

Congrats on your approval. :) USPS couldn't verify me online as well.

So what I did was put it in my husband's name.

I believe it was @shakeyy who told me this trick. It worked like magic. :D

Good luck! :)

Thank you! I got my green card yesterday, yay! But they got my middle name incorrect though, :( which confuses me because in all of their prior correspondence I was addressed as first name + middle name (maiden last name) + husband's last name following the Philippine naming convention. This is the name I used in all the forms as well. With my green card I was addressed as first name + middle name (mother's maiden last name/my middle name as per passport) + husband's last name following US tradition. I have two first names which probably added to their confusion.

Not sure if I should get it corrected? I read getting the card replaced could take another 3 months at the least sometimes 1 year and I need to send in the card too so that would leave me without a green card and I wouldn't be able to apply for SSN nor DL (I didn't apply for EAD). I'm contemplating whether to just drop my maiden last name and follow the US naming tradition, just not too sure if it'll be an issue when I renew my passport though.

That's great news. Congratulations!

I contacted my congressman too. They received a message from USCiS saying they would expedite my case. So far, nothing.

Good ode luck in your job hunting!

Besides contacting my congressman, I also contacted the Ombudsman. I just received a message from them saying that USCIS sent me a RFE on March 8. I wonder what can be. Now my case will be on hold until they get my answer. I think I should not be sad :(. I have seen some people see their cases moving after they answer their RFE. I hope for the best.:)
