So I did get my letter today, as expected.

But, they're sending me to Detroit instead of Cleveland.

Technically, it might be a few miles closer but I'm still pissed. :D

Why send me to another state instead of the city my husband is from?!?

Oh well... a trip to a place I've never been to.

Yeay!!! Always good to hear a progress and timeline update. I'm glad it arrived as expected! Your timeline is exactly 2 weeks ahead of mine, so hopefully I'll receive my biometrics appointment notice in 2 weeks (plus 1 - 2 days due to thanksgiving)

I wonder if you can get it done in Cleveland (walk-in)?

Has anyone do it?

I've seen people with close to my timelines get their letters these last few days and mine was here like clockwork so I'm sure you'll get yours in the same timeframe!

Found a couple successful stories in here, not exactly for Cleveland office though:

We attempted to walk-in this morning. I may have to travel this month (newly established business in another states) so waiting until the appointment day maybe not feasible since I may have to leave anytime. We drove 40 miles to the ASC. The guard took our paper to the IO and asked us to wait.

After 30 minutes (several people were waiting for the IO as well), we got in. He asked us a lot of questions like: "Have you tried the ASC location on the appointment notice?", "What's your reason to coming in early?", crossed check our addresses between me and my wife,... When all our answer are matched and we explained my unexpected travel, he said okay he will let us do the BIO but the wait maybe long since they have to take case the people who have appointment today.

We went outside and waited for another 30 minutes then he called us in again. He questioned about my wife B1 visa. We explained to him her change of immigration intention (she came to attend an EXPO but I convinced her to stay). He took time explain to us the I-94 and said we'll have an interview and I have to be there with her. He wrote her A number on the passport and explain to her that will be her Green card number if approved. If asked who wrote the A number there, tell them an Immigration Officer at the ASC wrote that. He sent us to the line to get our number.

It took 2 hours from the time we got there but we finally got it done.:dance:

My overall experience is awesome. They were very busy but very efficient. From the Guard to the IO to the BIO technician, very nice people. Especially the Immigration Officer, extremely knowledgeable, he took time and explained everything to both of us in details.

Thank you for taking the time and checking for similar cases!

Hubby convinced me that it's not a big deal and we can easily drive to Detroit and it's pretty much the same drive for us. :)

Hi, I am a late September filer but the September thread didn't really have any participants, so I will follow this one from now on! My I-979 indicates that my I-485 was cataloged on 10/04 anyway. I've done my biometrics and I-485 status has changed to 'ready for an interview' on 11/01/2017. Will stay like that as the MN local office is really falling behind on processing. Good luck everyone!

Hi guys.. so today I received a courtesy letter for my i485. Just a letter that says i didnt submit my i693 from civil surgeon and vaccination record

 

They say to send it if interview is required or if not it will be sent as RFE

 

Did any of you receive this too?
