Janice,

Yes I am able to check my case online and they all are mentioned like yours. Just my biometrics appointment is stated clearly for I765, I will call to USCIS to double check on Monday.

Btw I read on the other topics that some of them receive 2 types of bio and some do not. It makes me really concerned right now. Share to me if you have any news.

Happywu,

You received your bio letter too. How about yours?

Hi,

Yes, I received my biometrics notice and my appointment is on Nov. 14th.  Keep us posted about the issue. Good luck! :)

Hi,

I had my biometrics appointment earlier today at 10AM. The whole process took 40 minutes. I expected a lesser wait time since most of the posts I read here says they were done in 15 minutes, but I guess it still depends on your USCIS field office. Because San Jose, Ca  field office was a cluster when I got there. The biometrics processing was fairly quick, 5 minutes done. It was the waiting in line to get your number and  I had to go to a different window to confirm my name change and all that took forever. Also, if you're adjusting status through marriage and you still have your maiden name in all of your ID's, make sure you bring your marriage certificate so that it's easier for them to confirm your identity.  So yeah, I would say it was painless really, I just didn't like the whole waiting in line part. haha!

EDIT: By the way, did you call USCIS regarding you biometrics for I-485 & I-765? Were you able to confirm if the appointment is for both forms?

Great experience and sharing Janice!!! Thank you.

For my case, I did call to USCIS for asking our the concern on biometrics appointment. However, the lady who was on phone with me said that she could not know and confirm anything, could not transfer to senior officer for me to ask more, and could not do anything for me. I was advised to wait until that biometrics date and ask the staff there. I however feel like I did talk to wrong person haha. Maybe I call them back tomorrow and will let you know.

I do not change my name through marriage hence it is not an issue for me. Anyway, thank you Janice!!! Keep me posted about your case.

Had my biometrics today. Went to the same place as @janicecf. My experience was better. I turned up an hour early, which wasn't a problem, and was done in around 15 minutes. First you go through security, then you wait in line to receive a form duplicating stuff you undoubtedly put in your I-485 (which they don't seem to verify..), then you wait in line again, go up to get your photo and fingerprints taken, then they finish the stamp on the biometrics letter and you are done.

I did notice that on the 'contractors form' they fill out and retain, it is *very* specific about which receipts the biometrics are done for, and they have to write exactly "i-485, i-765" in the form, so I definitely agree that @JVjourney needs to get this sorted out!

Thank you! The officer whom I was transfered to told me that previously, they seperated biometrics appointments for 2 applications (I765 and I485), however, most of cases right now are expedited with the only one biometrics. She advised me to just go to the appointment I was received, then step by step follow NOAs coming. She said some cases, if required, need to do twice for biometrics but very rare at this time. She asked me to rest assured as everything now is normal, if I receive an other biometrics, so let go. If not, I can understand the coming next week is for both. Phew, the feeling that you are so special under this matter is annoying though lol!!!

But I may call back again today to ask from another officer, I think I should!

It would be perfect because we are leaving for Cleveland on Monday/Tuesday to be with hubby's family for Thanksgiving for a week.

But knowing my luck I'll come back home and THEN I'll find the letter waiting for me.
