Haha. I feel you. Sounds like me.

Better to spread it out.  I did my flu shots at costco because they're cheaper than everyone.

Then the rest at Department of Health. Apparently a TB test is done, a fluid is injected in our forearm, just to the layer of our skin and we have to come back 2 days later and see the results. Way too much poking

I'll have to do more research as we are currently uninsured and I'm not sure if we'll be able to get insurance for next year.

I know yu can get some vaccinations covered with insurance but I'll have to pay for everything out of pocket.

Same here. I just did every thing all at once and included it in my AOS packet. It costs me $500 (that's the cheapest around my area) to get every thing done, because my shots were not up to date and most immigration medical exams are not covered by health insurance or not all insurance will cover it (I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield)

So if you haven't done your I- 693 just make sure to ask for the exact fees and ask if your insurance will cover all the services.

I know. I've even saw some doctors charge $800. its ridiculous. Mine came out $450 including everything and the lab work as well

That's a good rate... Its puzzles me how each of them charge differently. Does your rate include labwork and vaccination fees as well?

I take that back. When all is said and done he paid $500 total including vaccinations/lab. I think he only had to get blood taken & TB, since he had his medical records and everything was up to date. He paid out of pocket.

It's not recommended to include it in the packet. Some do it right away and some do it later.

OH you came here on an K1 visa right? I'm curious if K1 AOS applicants tend to have faster processing time. I've seen people finish it 5 months. @.@  Not sure what could be the factor why some have it fast while some are slow

I'm not sure if coming from a certain type visa to AOS has any thing to do w/ the processing time. I think it just really depends who's handling your case.

I personally didn't know it was an option to submit it at the interview or at a later date until I got the exam done.

I haven't heard AOS applicants form other visas getting interview waiver, so I'm suspecting it's faster for K1 AOS, because they have been screened and interview previously and have 1 less form (no I-130 needed) to complete.
