I am traveling to Nigeria and have received 2 letters from the Comptroller General granting me permission to enter and get the visa on arrival.  Please see attached letters.  My question is...do I still have to apply online for a visa on arrival or actually get it when I get off of the plane?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Unless you really, really, really, really, really have to travel in a hurry, I strongly recommend you apply for a visa outside Nigeria instead of using visa on arrival. You do not want to be at the mercy of Nigerian immigration officers when you arrive at the airport.

I have yet to know anyone who successfully got their Visa on arrival without a whole lot of wahala and money. It takes maybe 2 weeks or less do it online get it down the simplest surest way.

Just a note after the fact...doing the visa on arrival was a dream.  I went into the office and it took me 5 mins.  I should have paid online beforehand, but that was pretty quick too.
