Hi All,

Any one had same issue please advise us .

NVC assigned us case on Jan 24th 2018 and since than our case is at NVC and under going Administrative process ?

Anyone had samiliar issue please let us know how long it took and what was the process as i am not getting any answer from NVC .

We were stuck in NVC for over a month. The first thing I would do is to make sure you are actually in AP. When we called we were told this at first but then later we were told our case wasn’t in AP but that a technical error had occurred which prevented our case from being sent to the consulate. NVC will give you basically no information. I called everyday for a month and every time I would get a different answer. I even got to the point where I knew most of the people who answered by name and knew which ones would try to help and which ones were rude and evasive. You can usually get a little better information by speaking with a supervisor, but this isn’t easy to do. If you ask for one they will put you on hold for a while and then they will say none are available and one will call you back. I did this several times and only was able to speak to a supervisor once. If you are able to get a supervisor write down their name and everything they tell you. The next day you call and try to verify what they told you the new person you are talking to will sound perplexed and tell you something completely different. Its extremely frustrating and the wait seems endless and no one at NVC is capable giving clear, consistent information. The thing that seemed to work best for us is when I contacted my congressman. Your representative should have a constituent services page on their website on how to request their help. They can inquire about your case on your behalf. Our case was finally sent to the consulate after we did this after over a month of waiting. Good luck to you, for us NVC was the worst part of the whole process.
