To Belgian workers:

Shut up, eat your chocolate and drink your beer on break. nuff said.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

amen brother...

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

This is absolutely ludicrous to micromanage peoples' break times & try to govern 'cliques'

And it's Belgium, not Holland...so what's wrong with French?

D'Oh. It really is Belgium that this thread is about :)

Yeah, I don't know why they don't require French instead. Weird.

[T]he town of Genk in Belgium's Dutch-speaking Flanders region. Language is a sensitive topic in Belgium, particularly in Flanders where locals and politicians are keen to promote the use of Dutch and prevent the encroachment of the country's other main language, French.

Obviously I need to read things more closely ;-)

I lived in Holland for a few years. If you speak English, it is not easy to speak Dutch. It does not matter how hard you study, everyone prefers to speak English with native English speakers. At big corporations, English is more important than Dutch. (Weird, isn't it...) The Brits, Irish and Americans had an easy time as expats.

On the other hand, being from North Africa or Turkey is not easy in Holland.

It struck me as being as silly as how Mexicans are often treated in the US.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - A Belgian auto parts supplier has forbidden its workers to speak any language other than Dutch, even during their lunch break, and employees could be fired if they disobey.

how does this compare even the slightest to how mexicans are being treated in america????? HAHAHAH we dont force them to speak english, most of them dont or dont bother to learn english, same with other natiionalities, thats fine too, but its on them if they cant communicate. WE AMERICANS are being told to learn spanish!!!
