There's no reason to worry about them revoking LPR status due to abandonment at the interview...if they admit you at POE, then they didn't believe it was abandoned.

 

Breaking continuous residence means you need to return and establish continuous residence for 4 years + 1 day to be eligible to apply for citizenship.

Hi guys.

 

Just an update and this could be helpful for those in similar situation.

 

I finally got a job and moved to Texas.  Afterwards, my wife and daughter both got B2 visa and already visited me for few weeks in the US. Almost no questions were asked during the interview and my wife was advised to go ahead get in line apply for Green Card anyway, although she won't be moving to the US for few years.

 

So those in similar sitiuation go ahead take a chance and apply for visitor visa.
