Not true.

The card is the greencard of course, the EAD has nothing to do with your status. It's just something you get temporarily to use while waiting for a status.

What happens if the I-485 is rejected. What happens to the EAD Card?

Nope, with the EAD you have the right to work while waiting for your greencard/LPR status to process, it doesn't require a status, but an authorized stay (ie you are allowed to stay while the AOS is pending, and allowed to work while your AOS is pending if you have your EAD card).

I assume you don't have a case number, but a receipt number. It only tells you what's up with your application, nothing else.

What is the difference between the case and receipt #? How do I get a case #?

You get receipt numbers from USCIS when they accept your cases, that's all you get for your AOS. You get case numbers from NVC when you apply for a visa, which you don't. NVC doesn't deal with AOS applications.

The day the AOS gets denied, the EAD gets invalid.

Rejected is a different thing. It only means that USCIS never accepted your case and sent it back to you.

Update:

All paperwork completed through an Immigration Attorney:

Priority Date: 6/9/11.

NOA - I-130: Approved: 5/19/14.

Mailed application packet on 10/2/17.

NOA - I-485/Supplement A: Received:10/4/17  // I-485/Supplement A: Notice date: 10/11/17.

NOA - I-765: Received: 10/4/17 // I-765: Notice Date: 10/11/17 (Online case status only says 10/4/17 though).

NOA - ASC: Notice Date: 10/21/17. SSN is not listed and I am not sure why? SSN was submitted in the application. USCIS A# is listed on I-485, I-765 and ASC.

11/6/17: 2pm appointment date Biometrics.

Is the application moving fairly quickly or about the same timeline?

Also, I know RFIE/RFE can be issued at anytime but what documents have they looked so far to make sure every evidence is there as needed to be approved?

You ask a million questions, you seem super nervous. You need to sit back and relax, go to your biometrics appointment and then let the wait begin. This will take a while.

You have a lot of questions. Read through some threads in the forums. Most of your questions will be answered (try using search) and you will probably learn something new as well, which is always good :)

As for RFEs or RFIE's - USCIS will review the packet when its submitted. They check everything needed is there. (dates/forms/etc) If something is missing you will get an RFE/RFIE immediately. Then it sits in line to be processed by an Officer. It can take anywhere from 3months to 12 months or longer for an Officer to pick up the case. When they do they will review it and issue an RFE if they feel its needed.

So basically theres 2 points when RFEs can come. Once at the beginning when the package is received/reviewed and again when the Officer goes to adjudicate it.

For the biometrics appt you can wear what you wear everyday. There is no dress code. But you are going to a gov building so dress appropriately. For the actual interview you want to dress nicely as they are evaluating you.

Does this mean they corrected the birth year?

Anyone?

I’d assume the lack of an answer indicates that no one knows what is in your letter, it appears to me that it means they assigned an officer to respond to you
