Cheating spouse

I brought my K1 fiance here.  It has almost been two years since his arrival and one year from our marriage... However a couple of months ago he left me for another woman... I never did any paper work for him... I didnt because no sooner than our marriage he started staying out late and drinking excessively.  What happens to him? Can he still marry this woman and get his residence.  I wish i would not have brought him... He played with my emotions just to get here. And once here he started cheating until he left. I only did the first step the marriage... Nothing else he is not in my finances, nor do we have lots of pics together.  And if investigated they will see he never had good intentions. Can he get deported?

As others said, he's no longer your problem.

He can't remain in the US without you even with a new spouse, and it will be hard to show a bona fide marriage with anybody else in the US if they tried to get a new visa (plus there would be a 10 year bar to overcome as well).

OP-  Can you clarify something for me?  Did you and he wait for a year to marry after he entered the US?

You can't control other people and their actions.  Just move forward, and seek your own happiness.  Let him wallow in the sea of legal problems ahead.....

Good Luck....

It can really hurt to be treated in such manner. He's a bad man.

You done the right thing. Since he came on K1 visa, his residency will be approved only if he applied with you. He can go and get married to 100 women, and he will still be denied.

My advice: divorce him, move on and let him regret what he has done. You being worried about it won't help you at all. Don't fall for him again, do you to be happy.

At this point he will have to get out the country, restart the process and IF he get approved than he will be able to come again.

Good luck.

By the way you are a smart woman for not filing as soon as possible, watched his behavior and didn't let your emotions dive you. I applaud you for the that.

Actually upon being asked... I looked we married at exactly 90 days ... But just realized that the certificate was registered on day 92... Do not know if that makes a difference... He is so bad he sent me pictures of him and that woman together kissing.i was told to just move on.. But pictures like this are hard to ignore not to mention very painful.

I am sorry for what happened. You need to stay strong and move on.

Make sure to collect a lot of evidence about what you mentioned if you decide to go through a divorce (cheating, alcohol problems, etc.). I know a girl who got married and divorced within less than 2 years, and she got residency. But the USC was abusing her. I guess it depends on the case.

Anyways, good luck!
