Say what? Jakarta is a tough embassy? According to who and what? It's pretty easy, B1/B2 excepted. My now-wife had a very easy time, as did the others who interviewed the same day as her. The reviews on VJ also indicate that's the norm and not the exception...

And a police certificate is not required in Indonesia due to police corruption.

They are tough about one thing: public charge and support affidavit.  I attend and participate in all interviews and those forms?  They comb through them and check every detail.  It seems to be the main thing they care about.  You, like us, probably did not have a problem with that and your case passed right through.  The only questions they seem to ask are fishing about your future plans.  Answer that immediately and you're good to go.

I know about Indonesian police certificates.  The first time we needed one there, you still had to polish palms to get one and we had to do it.  Now, we do not or we certainly would be scrambling for one on this SB-1 thing we are putting together.  LOL

I was testing the guy.  He seems a little bit disconnected for having everything approved and ready to go at the embassy.
