Hmmm.... this is worrying me a little. I myself (the beneficiary) is 22 female and my fiancé is 46 male. We have a 24 year age gap, but I will be going through the London embassy. Is this going to be an issue?

p.s I've always had a thing for older men! Now only one older man!

Normal. Our K-1 took 147 days from NOA1 to NOA2.  As for the age difference,  prepare a rock solid case for a bona fide relationship.  I'm 18 years older than my fiancee,  and even that raised eyebrows and questions in Vietnam.  We had proof of multiple trips, extensive chat logs, and lots of pictures.

I know from my fiance who is from the Philippines, that many couples get their K1visa with a 30+ year difference. She has two friends that went through the K1 process with a large age gaps and had no problems. Just show a lot of evidence of a legitimate relationship and you should be fine (as people have already recommended above, evidence, evidence, evidence)....Lastly, most of us who filed in May are still waiting for NOA2, so be prepared for 6-8 months.

But in embassy they know the cambodian rules and probably would deny

The U.S. Embassy doesn't care about the Cambodian rules for getting married in Cambodia.  They are applying for a K-1 Fiancee visa to get married in the U.S.

This age difference is completely normal.  You shouldn't be worried about that at all.

I wouldnt say its normal in the UK though. Perhaps other countries.

These are the ages of me and my dad respectively lol (-1year). In the UK people do not tend to marry someone the same age as their parents.

But I do however think they will be fine with proof of a solid relationship at the London embassy. It might get questioned during the interview though.

I've never seen an visa approved with a complaint about age (obviously).

I've never seen a visa refused due to age.

I've seen a number of refused visas due to multiple factors, of which an age difference is sometimes noted.

QED => Age itself is not an issue. Just present a strong case and you'll be fine.

It is not very uncommon for a man to marry a woman who is more than 20 years younger. However, if the woman is much older than the man, that is not as common and would be a red flag.

Are you also Cambodian? Do you also speak Khmer, the official language of Cambodia? How long have you known each other? How do you know that she loves you?
