Hi all,  sorry if this is a newbie question but I'm just starting my journey and getting some conflicting info. As I've read on this site's K1 guide and various postings, as the US citizen I just send in a copy of my birth certificate (or in my case Naturalization Certificate). My fiancee in Vietnam spoke to a Vietnamese friend who has gone through this and they told her she needs to send me copies of her birth certificate so that I can include it in my filing. I'm fairly sure this is not needed and this is more related to later on during her part of the process after the NOA2. Please let me know if I'm right in this thought. Really appreciate it!

I've reviewed a few more threads on here about this and it looks like while not listed as a requirement, some do include the beneficiary's BC with the filing. It'll be great to hear how recent filers have approached this?

You do not need to include her birth certificate when submitting the I-129F. But she will need to submit a copy + original at time of her interview.
