Hi,

I managed to drag out of my fiancee that we have a case number from the NVC for my case that's been forwarded to london. It starts with 'lnd', for London. Is there anywhere online that this lets me access to get further case information? I can't find anything about this listed..

On the notice from NVC, there will be the USCIS number and the NVC number. I assume it is the LDS# that you have because mine begins with MOS (Moscow). Anyway, on NVC's website there is a phone number you can call for automated info. I had no luck with that and called and spoke to a representative who told me when they received our petition and when it was forwarded to Moscow. The automated phone info told me that there was no record of our Petition. Hope this helps.

You can use your CIS (NOA) receipt number from your approval to find out.

On calling the NVC automated voice response number (603) 334-0700 you will.... press 1 for English press 2 for Spanish

press 1 for information about your immigrant visa

It will then ask you if you know your CIS receipt number.....press 1

(Once you have a case number you can use this.....press 2)

You then follow the instructions to key in your number.

It will then tell you if NVC has received the petition, and assigned a number.

You can also email them :

Email address for NVC

NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

When making enquiries always put your case number in the subject line.

After you have a date of when it is leaving (approx) you tack all diplomatic pouches going from US to the Consulates by searching on the specific dates :

http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef

Select the approx dates you expect your package to go out which is usualy 3 to 4 days after NVC tells you they sent out the electronic communication.

put in reference number I-730 and click track.

Let me know if this helps you guys

Also, the Embassy website may post interview dates based on your NVC number. The Embassy in Moscow has a link to the interview schedule. You can look at this schedule and find your interview date before you are officially notified. Maybe the Embassy in London has the same info on their site.

London consulate does not do this.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you have to 'drag' this information out of your fiancee? Also, any reason it took 5 months to get from the NVC after NOA2 (or is your timeline incorrect)?
