March 7, 2005: I-129F NOA1

September 20, 2005: K-1 Interview in London. Visa received shortly thereafter.

AOS

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

Hello Eric, AOS_D and Chad+Lira!!

Hey Chad, have you started putting together the AOS documents for Lira? I've been thinking about both of you. You'll only have a little over 3 weeks after your wedding to get everything done and sent out before the fees go up.

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

..............................................Notice date : 08/22/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

09/18/08: Biometrics completed - Charlotte DO

10/24/08: Received Interview Letter

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!

My husband had a scare this morning--he thought he lost his wallet with his EAD in it. Unless I'm mistaken, the fee for a replacement is the same as for the original: $180! Yikes!

Yikes!! That is scary! Did he have his wallet on him after all?

Yeah, fortunately it was at home under some stuff. Maybe we should put the EAD in a safe or something! We were more worried about that than credit cards, etc.
