That's exactly what I got. We are just left in a hopeless situation right now. At least that is how it feels.

Natalie - I feel for you because I know your interview was missed. Our SO's have talked via e-mail because they met at the medical.

Jen- Let's hope Monday is the lucky day, but I don't think it is.

I don't know if this has already been said but I wonder if when Casa opens they will go through the interviews that they had scheduled during the time they had to close then reschedule those who were originally scheduled after those who were affected by the Consulate closing. Maybe they'll just keep with their schedule and try to fit people in each day who were scheduled during the closing.

Either way good luck guys!

With the consulate closed and all of us still trying to follow through with it all, shouldn't it look good that we stuck through and didn't give up? When they do reopen. Would this be a sign to them that the relationships are real? Wouldn't this situation make some people give up? Or do you think they will resume treating us as they did before, maybe worse?

We didn't have an interview date, yet, but our case had been sent to them a few days before it closed, so someone was probably about to look at our case that week - if nothing had happened. We were so close!

Well, insh'Allah it will be open Monday. 'Cause we certainly have no control over it.

If I cause offense it is not on purpose, think about that before you take offense. If you feel offended, consider that maybe I'm not talking about you and maybe I accidentally stumbled onto a sore area and do not know. Thank you.

I don't think that the consulate will take waiting an extra few weeks or so as a sure sign that a relationship is real. I do wonder if there will be any extra security measures taken in light of the recent bombings that will tighten up the name check process, if that's even possible.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it will open tomorrow!

I agree. I don't think having to wait for them to re open proves anything about your relationship.

I should have specified "if they are closed for more than a few weeks." Like MONTHS :(:crying:

If it did take several months, I think it WOULD meant SOMETHING, however tiny and miniscule.

I still disagree.

It is about 1045 in Morocco, as of now, no new warden messages or notice of reopening on their website.

I like it better when I can say "you're wrong!" But I don't get to. A fraudulent fiance loses nothing by waiting a few months, how else can they get to the US while the consulate is not open. Can't. That is what they would think at the consulate. :dead: yuck. I said it. It was just wishful thinking.

Well, maybe it will be open May 2nd. Insh'Allah.

I know. Rida is still going. His father thinks it may re-open on Wednesday since tomorrow is a holiday. I'm just curious how far out are the new appointments going be? Will there be a priority given to those who had appointments and missed them? So many questions and absolutley no answers!

Natalie,

The calls are being made and the e-mails sent. Calls there and calls here to the DOS. So far, all are to no avail. There is nothing we can do to make them open any quicker than they plan to. This is much bigger than any of us. I'm not sure what kind of security reviews they are doing seeing as how they had tight security to begin with and it was never breached. They are being reactive and sadly, at this point, not much that can be done.
