Hi Murph4865 , I did not intend to offend anyone, I am guessing that the service centre's can only process so many a day and as you say there was a rush by people to file in the early part of the year, I am pleased for you that your date should be getting near, for us the date is drifting further back which is depressing and  I was just looking to see if the wait time is going to keep increasing or if they might come down, do you have any thoughts on this?

As it looks yes times will probably increase until they can figure out how to get caught up but from what i have seen they are giving RFE to alot of people which lengthens the times and allows to show they are getting caught up with others, there are still of january through april that have not been approved yet.

Yes, I noticed that they are doing a lot more RFE. like you I figured that they were buying time, it would be interesting to  know how many files they process a day. It is just frustrating when the time lines in the VJ site showed  a wait time of 50 days last year and we are all looking at three times that, I guess that's how it goes.  again, good luck with your application, medical and interview.

Hi Everyone, the Noa1 to Noa2 times are a worry to us too, I have spent a few hours looking at the numbers and it seems that March,  April  and May all had a large number of I-129K applicants (402, 379 & 436) numbers in June show a reduction after the first few days showing a total of 322, July and August are just over 200 each month and Sep (where we are) is 152,  unless the CSC is dealing with more than 15 visa journey members a day the time is going to go up, I am hoping (and praying) that once they move in to June the wait time will come down again. but it does seem that May is messing the wait time up, I also read on another site that the wait time comes down during the winter months, again I am hoping that is still going to be the case since our Noa2 time has moved from 5 February 2018 to 21 February 2018 .

On a different topic, I am going to see Colleen in Milwaukee on Sunday, flying into O'Hare, hopefully without any problems at immigration now the I-129F in the system, most on VJ seem to say it should be ok, time will well...........

Your numbers are just looking at the 8% here!.  April had 6000, May had 4700 and I believe June had 3800.  As of this morning it looks like there are over 1000 April petitions, 3700 May and 3800 June petitions that haven’t been touched.  In fact, the difference between May and June outstanding petitions was just 3 this morning.

May started the slowdown because of the change in the HB visa priorities.  Family based visas were moved behind work related visas in early May.  That ripple will be felt for many more months.

The standard timeframe that they quote is 6 months.  As the backlog gets larger it seems that they are reverting to RFEs to buy more time.  There is no written timeframe for RFE review and acceptance.  They are stopping the clock before they hit the 6 month timeframe to keep their numbers intact.

So, it means September filers will feel the impact. We waited to send the I-129F package till September because last year took one month to get NOA2.

Also, the fact we didn’t add we met on Tinder has been so frustrating because we could get a RFE

Hi John & Rose I guessed the numbers the service centre have would be a lot more than shown on VJ, I am still working around the site so I don't know where to find all the information, I was just looking to find a little hope that things might improve ! thanks for sharing the figures with us.

No worries!  There is a lot of great info here including people who run a daily report directly from USCIS raw numbers.  Look at the May forum as it is still active.  The scripts are run by Shoegum.  It is an interesting (if not somewhat depressing) read!!!  LOL

How did you say you met?  If it is Tinder, be proactive and get an email from them stating they are not an IMB (International Marriage Broker).  You will need that in case of the RFE.  Better to get it now just in case.

I believe if you go in expecting a 6 month wait you should be good.  Indications are that May nad June will get hurt the worse but things should pick up (a little???) bu August and September.

Im May 11th als, and still waiting for our NOA2 i called and they said to keep waiting and that they were running behind.

That is better than their usual response of “wait another 4 month and call again.  You are within our normal processing window”...

I called a week ago or so, the said it is taking between 160-170 days to reach NOA2. But from what i have been reading above, it looks like it took take much longer. I really dont know. We are approaching 6 months.

Hi everyone. We are at 161 days now waiting for our noa 2. According to vida timeline we should have received our noa2 a few days ago. Any advice?

Similar experiences?

Has anyone received an noa2 from a noa1 date of May 11?

Thanks in advance!

We waited 243 days for NOA2 😊 We received an RFE around - 190-200 days and then NOA2 - 243 days later!

Wow. 243 days. I'm guessing that because of the rfe's.

Yep! Our NOA1 was January 10th. We received an RFE about 190-200 days later because we forgot to include the letter of intent! Haha something so small!

Our NOA 2 was a couple weeks late.

I'm not sure what this means. USCIS does not give a "due date" so it can't be "late". If you are referring to the VJ estimated date, this is just an estimate from an unsophisticated calculation that relies on members entering information, so needs to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt.
