A parasitic relationship isn't about getting "joy". The mother receives no nutrients or physical benefit from the fetus. It isn't a "symbiotic" relationship in the sense where they each take from each other and need each other. One clearly needs the other. The reverse isn't true.

i don't think anyone was referring to a pregnant mother as having a parasite in her. i mean, i just jumped into this thread on voter suppression and saw this argument going down with all the pearl clutching over a realistic description of a biological process i'm personally familiar with..i just wanted to hop in and say i understood what bcking was saying.

Are we defining "right-leaning" differently? I wouldn't exactly include the "moderates" group in that. Just like I wouldn't include "moderates" if we were talking about "left-leaning".

Some people have now referred to it as being a parasite. It's just that I'm not one of them.

 

As you said, I described the relationship between fetus and woman. I didn't define the fetus by that relationship. That concept just seems difficult to grasp by some.

3) I just explained biology for you. There are three things: Genetic sex, Secondary sexual characteristics and gender - They can all allign or they can misallign. Unfortunately biology isn't always straightforward.
