I used to say, Iriver to Ipod, is like what Linux is to windows. One is easy, simple and for the masses, the other is more complicated, but higher quality, slower adoption but friggin rocks. I actually used to program my own WPS on that thing, crazy stuff you could never do with an apple product.

I've been thinking about switching the entire family to Android, but then the thought of having to buy all those kiddie games and paid apps again dissuades me.  Might have to make the jump soon though.  Why does it seem like every time Apple comes out with new phones, the older model units start running slower?  My conspiracy believing side could swear they are doing something intentional to force people to upgrade.  My teenage son made the switch this summer.  He seems pretty happy about it, but that might be due to me no longer being able to see his whereabouts via the Find iPhone app.

 

I once had an Archos for watching movies on planes. ahahaha  That was back when most phones were for making phone calls and maybe sending an SMS.

The iPhone X does look intriguing, but I agree, it is ridiculously expensive.

I wonder why they did that?  There is no way they didn't have some idea it was going to happen.  To make things even worse for the iPhone 8, more people are buying iPhone 7's right now, because they are $150 cheaper than the 8's.

Again I'm not sure what that really has to do with liking or not liking the company but if you'd really like to know, I think that like about 95% of the market, apple stock is also way overvalued right now. I would not be surprised at all to see it in the $70-$80 range within a couple of years.
