How long after your interview did you receive your visa?

TBF, my question is selfish. For me, I anticipate a depot delivery at Chancery Lane (hey, I need to get approved first!), a few miles from the US embassy in London.

I’m asking because you (plural) may expect a delivery from a courier to a smaller town or village. It may take longer than a London depot delivery.

I’m curious if depot deliveries are quicker than home deliveries

This forum used to keep a thread going where people posted in a list their interview to delivery times. With two years of data collection, there did not seem to be a significant difference between depot and delivery. It tends to be next day service once it goes. So a dispatch to Chancery Ln or Liverpool both arrive the same day. Then the email says "delivery tomorrow" or "you may pick up tomorrow". There are very remote areas where the next day service can't logistically happen.

One thing a few people proved is that when you get your Depot Pickup notice for "tomorrow", the parcel is actually already at the depot. A few went the day of the email and got their package, even though it said pick up "tomorrow." If you are very close, you could give that a try. 😏 Some are told come back tomorrow, maybe because the parcels are unsorted still and they don't want to search for it just because you came early.

One clue that you are getting close is when your status page no longer says Immigrant and has changed to non-immigrant. The Immigrant visa unit is handling it, but they switch you to non-immigrant (the actual classification) when they are done processing and are ready to send your visa to print.

Hello sir , i had my interview nov8th and they gave me 221g asking just for further administrative process , they doen't ask me for no additional papers , in Nov14th i had a new creation date and it changed to non immigrant since then till today ( 11 days ago ) no updates , is this good sign that they will issue me and by the way they kept my passport in embassy . please help me and thx in advance

This is the United Kingdom forum so it's about what typically happens in London. It could be totally different in how they handle things at your embassy. Have you looked at timelines or reviews from Tunisia to see if a delay is normal?  It could be they always do extra optional security checks where London does not except when applicants are Muslim or from countries with more terrorism threats.

My fiancee had her interview on Nov 9 and we've been in administrative processing since Nov 14. This feels like a long time compared to other people on this site. Why is it taking my case so long when the case worker told me fiancee 1-2 weeks for her visa to be mailed back? Is there anything we can do or are we stuck waiting?

Thanks.

I got approved yesterday pending medical results which the guy at the counter told me they should get soon (he said they get post twice a day so they'll be keeping an eye out.

CEAC says ready and was last updates on my interview day, rang knightsbridge and they sent my medical results the 22nd so I'm sure they'll have them very soon.

I'm just so impatient, I want to book a flight and be there now.

Did you guys hear anything yet as to why it’s taking so long? What does the ceac tracker say for you and have you seen it go through any status updates?

As of this morning we haven't heard anything. I submitted an inquiry with the London embassy and asked my senator to send an inquiry as well. Waiting on those replies. I saw the status switch from "Ready" after the interview to "Administrative Processing" and it has stayed there since. It has also been switched from Immigrant Visa to Non-Immigrant Visa when I check the status but that's it.

I've often heard that it swapping from Immigrant to Non-immigrant means it'll be sent soon.

I also got a message back from the embassy through an online form 2 days after sending it. So I hope they get back to you too.

Yeah, I heard that switching to Non-immigrant means it's close. It has been in Non-immigrant for at least a week now so we're hoping for some good news soon!!

That's good you heard back from the embassy so quickly! Today is the second day after sending my email so we'll see if I hear anything. Fingers crossed!
