You should have invested in Apple several years back.

Trading options I have done better than Apple stock would have done for me...so I'm good

No, I ain't going to withdraw anything but move everything over to a more conservative fund.

That would be the smart thing to do imo. Unfortunately, most people aren't going to be as smart as you. Hey, where do you work btw? Seems like ya got some smart guys working with you.

Yeah I am set up for the fork. What sucks is my Alts are almost all down right now. But I am ready and I am hoping that after the fork everything will even out some.

Did you ever get the chance to check out the ones I told you about a month or so ago(WTC and ETP)? Even in the last couple weeks, them along with VTC and a few others have done real well for me. I agree though after Segwit we should see alts back in the picture...here is the funny part most "Experts" see alts as a bubble yet they think the stock market is a reasonable investment right now, as usual, they have it backwards just when it matters most. Alts have already gotten hammered and shed alot of the summer excesses off. Stocks have $15 trillion left to lose at this point...hmm which is the better investment, I wonder.

As crazy as this market is it can go up for a few more years. We have not seen a parabolic phase as yet when the man on the street start to speculate like in 2000. I remember my brother wanting to take out a home equity loan and invest in Cisco stock when it was about $80 per share. Right now he is very skeptical of the markets.

I don't think it's got that much time to be honest, but if it does I really don't care. I actually hope it's got at least till july of next year, because I'll be on a 3 week vacation in june and I really don't wanna miss out.

I am in Atlanta now, DC in a couple of days, then a few days of work in Minneapolis at the end of the month, then another trip, then NYC on the 8th of Nov... I think I will finally be able to breathe around the 12th of Nov for a couple of days.

Make sure you rack up loyalty points...especially if it's on a job's dime.

Probably what I miss most about my wife being out of work. We are slowly losing our loyalty tiers because we can't keep up the business she did when she was on the job.

Though we are somewhat dismayed by loyalty programs these days. We used to be fiercely loyal to BA but they have just become junk lately.

Same thing here I was Gold status on Qatar Airways because I used then during the whole time I was working in Afghanistan, I was Business or First class the whole way. Which the DUB to DOH flight there is only economy and First no Business. Now I am just Burgundy Class and I hate it.

American flies direct from RID to LHR  which is great for me because then I can hook up a Qatar Airways flight to wherever I want to go.

I did look them up and I made some good money off of them. But I had to consolidate to 4 coins due to the fork. So right now I only have a couple BTC and another BTC worth of Alt coins like OMG, NEO, and I cant remember the other coin right now.

I work at a world renowned University outside of Los Angeles, That specializes in Seismic Activity and Earthquakes. I work at the University but I am a Federal employee. All of the guys I work with are all technical guys so we have to think outside the box to get stuff a number of times. You would be amazed that some of people I have talked to at this job have no commonsense but have PhD' s after their name.

I don’t do loyalty points.  I have a CC that pays 3% cash back on every purchase.  My Amazon card is 5% on amazon.com.  Those are the only two cards I use.

You could get more than 3% in value using Chase points if you wanted.

Probably Amex as well but I don't use them. I primarily use Starwood points (for hotels) and Chase for flights.

My Fidelity card pays points, the points can be converted into dollars that go right into your stock account. Reduces my temptation to spend the savings.

I'd much rather have rewards that are fun than savings. I set aside an amount every month for savings. My credit card rewards are for enjoyment.

My wife and I are going to Botswana in February. Our return flights from Houston were paid for using Chase points. The organised trip unfortunately isn't with someone that uses points, but by putting it on my Barclay Card I can redeem points for cash (at a bonus rate for travel related expenses). We'll be able to pay off some of it (but not all) using that.  Cutting the cost of the trip by about half using rewards.

I'm not even that big of a rewards person. My buddy constantly keeps track of his card ratios to maximize the bonus sign ups. He's even had members of his family open cards to get the bonus and then transfer it all to him. As long as you keep a no annual fee card to transfer the credit line to before you close a card, it doesn't hurt your credit score. When Chase was offering 100,000 bonus points for signing up last year he signed up himself, his wife, his parents and his sister. Ended up with 500,000 Chase points.
