Wandering what the political make-up of our citizens here on VJ are. Obviously it is your own business on how you vote. Maybe this subject is too "Taboo" to talk about here on VJ. Voting, who you vote for, and how you vote are personal and this pole is after all voluntary.

Personally, I call myself a Republican, and tend to vote on the conservative side or more of what I believe in than who the candidate is. His/her's views are more important to me than his/her politacal party. I have voted for Democrats and will continue doing so in the future if I believe in what they are trying to accomplish. It does seem more and more our elected officials are more interested in taking care of themselves than their constituents; both Republicans and Democrats. It is easy to become numb to the political process now-a-days with what is going on in Washington.

I have probably forgot some of the parties, there are so many.

Thanks Everyone,

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

If there were a Green Party candidate that actually had a chance at winning, that's how I would vote. But for the upcoming election I will more than likely vote Democrat.

I am the same way.

I'll probably vote Democrat because I see them as the lesser of two evils...plus, the Republicans have been f*cking up royally for years. After 8 years of Bush, the country deserves a competent leader. I don't believe that any of the front-runners on the Republican side fit the bill. I used to like McCain, but he's gone all cuckoo lately. Giuliani is unelectable. Romney is full of sh!t.

I'm not thrilled with the Democrat candidates either. I haven't been excited about voting since Al Gore won in 2000.

I'm Libertarian, and if I thought there was even a chance of a 'Non-Big-Two' candidate winning, I'd vote for him/her. However, I'll likely end up voting Democrat, although I never actually vote along party lines.... I vote for the person, not the party.

independent: didn't register as any US party as I see it like being a choice between bunch of Jerk Laytons (Dems) and Myron Baloneys (Pubs).

I tend to be more conservative, having voted Reform/Alliance (combined with some leftover post-Baloney Tories to form today's Conservative Party) in Canada's 1993 and 2000 elections (I didn't find out in time to register for 1997, 2004 and 2006 elections).

Tee hee.

I vote for the candidate not the party. I'd say I'm rather liberal, but I have quite a few conservative beliefs. I like a couple of the possibilities this time around, but I'm not sold on anyone yet.
