Hello everyone,

It's been a while that I have posted... Well... Now you can add us to this list too... FINALLY, after 3 years and 3 months Visa was issued in Frankfurt, Germany on 6/6/08 ( My birthday :blush: ) and he is here in the US... Just one word "unbelievable" :yes:

3/24/11 Received 10 year Green Card in the mail - Done. Feels good :-) 'till we do this again for US Citizenship.

12/5/11 mailed packet for Naturalization

12/9/11 was received by USCIS.

4/6/12 received letter for fingerprint appn.

4/23/12 9am fingerprint appointment - done :-)

4/30/12 Recieved Letter for Interview - Sche. 5/31

5/31/12 Interview & Testing

5/31/12 Testing Approved - Waiting for next step

6/21/12 Rcvd email, placed application in the oath sched. que :-)

6/25/12 Rcvd letter - Oath Ceremony is on 7/11/12 @ 9:15am :-)

What's the difference between AP and AR?

When I called the Department of State, she told me we were in Administrative Review. Apparently Administrative Review means they are ready to make a decision on the case, at least that is what the assistant on the phone at DOS told me. Administrative Processing means they are still processing your paperwork and information.

I can say, after being in Administrative Review, we are now put back into Administrative Processing. So, although AR sounds more hopeful, it really doesn't mean a thing.

OMG congratulations !!!!! :dance: :dance: :dance: I hadn't seen you on the board for such a long time, and had often wondered if they'd ever issued the visa. Thank you so much for updating us !! I want to make sure I get the details correctly -- when was your interview date ? From what I remember, you were stuck in a long AR before the interview. Was there another AR afterwards ?

Thank you WOM... we were on AP twice... once before the case went to the consulate (when it was in NVC) and the second time before an interview date was issued... our interview date was 6/4, visa was issued in 6/6 and US entry was in 6/12 AND we had our legal ceremony today 6/25 :thumbs::dance::star:
