Missing biometrics appointment?

So I have a dilemma.....we received the notice for my husband's biometrics appointment around Oct. 9th, scheduled for the 19th (today). We immediately sent a reschedule request since it would be near impossible to make it to this appointment with my husband's work schedule. We still have not received a rescheduled date, and I when I called to find out if it had been rescheduled or not, I was told that "there's no way to know" and not going to the original appointment date today is the risk we take with rescheduling <_< My question is, how bad would it be to miss the appointment today and wait for our supposed rescheduling?

IR1/CR1 visa

4/17/15- 1-130 sent

4/23/15- NOA1

5/21/15- NOA2

6/05/15- NVC received case

6/18/15- received case number

7/06/15- completed DS-261 and paid AOS fee

7/23/15- AOS and IV packages sent

7/27/15- IV fee paid, document scan date

8/05/15- completed DS-260

8/15/15- CASE COMPLETE!!

9/28/15- interview at Tokyo embassy- APPROVED

I wouldn't risk it. 

Do whatever it takes to get in today or you should have tried an early walk in. 

01/13/2016: I-129F filed  07/15/2016: K-1 visa in hand
10/13/2016: Filed AOS + EAD/AP.   07/07/2017: Permanent resident (Conditional)
04/16/2019: Filed ROC  11/17/2020: Approved. (10 yr GC)

 

Naturalization                                                        
09/02/2020: Filed (Online)    09/08/2020: NOA1: (NBC) 
10/22/2020: Biometrics Reuse Notice.  12/22/2020: Online Status Changed to Interview Was Scheduled.  
01/29/2021: N-400 Interview - PASSED! 01/29/2021: Same-day oath ceremony.  
'Merica.

Thanks all, we did end up going. I didn't know walk ins were possible, and it would have been very difficult anyway as we were out of state until a day ago.

IR1/CR1 visa
