Actually Dora-David a couple of the points you found are not grounds for denial. The large age difference one and poor English skills are not grounds for denial. They may cause them to look harder at the applicants to make sure a real relationship exists. For example on the English skills, they may question the couples ability to communicate. All in all they are not supposed to pass judgement on the suitablity of the couple but only to look at the motives and make sure there is no fraud.

I would also question #'s 8 and 10, the day to day contact and relatives. They may be grounds to probe deeper but can not cause a denial in and of themselves. Otherwise it was a pretty good list and interesting.

i know not all from list are that bad and i dont think they will bring u a deial, i just wanted to give an example of possible problems u might have...like the poor english of fiance, big age diference, i dont think those could bring a denial...they just might look more carefuly. and the overstayed visa it can cause big problems only if u overstayed more than 180 days.

i was scared also when i saw the one with age diference because between me and my baby is 13 years diference..well...we should be fine...good luck to everybody

The only one that bothers me is #7. I've only had 2 one week visits. one in September and one a couple of weeks ago. other than that, our case is flawless. any comments?

It's the same case with me and Marlon. I spent 9/10 days with him on each visit (2 visits) but I am not too worried about it. Nor should you be! Granted he and I don't talk on the phone a whole lot, we still text message each other a couple of times a week as well as rely on postal mail.

I think that USCIS needs to understand that not everyone is rich and able to spend alot of money as well as time in another country. Uncle Sam makes it difficult enough to pay bills!

Thank you, in 2 weeks and 2 days, I'll know for sure, I will be either celebrating or going through a depression.

Russia is alot cheaper then Germany my friend. My girl pays about 150 bucks for a nice 1 bedroom apartment. Food is pretty cheap as well as everything else. I would prefer her to come to me but I am not going to worry anymore. If for some reason they say no I will sell all my stuff, buy a beater of a car and leave it at my moms. Come back for a month if i need money. Once I learn Russian I wont have to do it but it is a nice fall back for some quick $$$.

No country, no service center, no embassy, no consul (with a god-like complex) will stop me from being with my Irina!!!!!!!! I will be with my Russian Queen May 31 to Aug 31!! Hopefully I will be there for the interview!! It will be close!! Might skip to Ukraine to get a 1 month visa if necessary!!!

I wonder if i can get a job at the CSC and approve my own K-1??? They would probably fire me because I am too quick and efficient.

Don't worry about getting a visa to head to Ukraine. If you're from the US or any "regime-free" country, you can stay there up to 90 days without a visa! Ukraine's biggest treasure are the outrageous numbers of beautiful women there! Not that you may look, of course! I certainly do! I do a great impression of Linda Blair in "The Exorcist" with my head spinning around! ;)

The non-USC not knowing English is nothing to be worried about. My fiance does not speak English and that has never been a problem. Why should he need to? I speak fluent Portuguese. What is important is that we can communicate. I spoke both English and Portuguese at his interview.

Now that he is here he is studying A LOT and has learned a great deal in 5 weeks. But before his arrival here - there wasn't too much need.

13 years is not a big age difference. They have approved visas with more than a 50 year age difference. My own difference is 38 years.

Yes, they don't care about English. They do care about communication. There have been visas approved without problems where they don't share a common language as long as one is trying to learn the language of the other. The problem with a fiance(e) who doesn't speak English comes in the Embassies that don't allow the partner there. The answer "He speaks Portugeese or Russian or whatever" is often greeted a little skepticly. The embassies that allow both to be there a few words in either language settles the question.

Alt, Having been in Ukraine more than a dozen times I can agree with you. The women there are beautiful. I am sure whatever parts of the world our S/O comes from seems like the world's most beautiful to each of us.

Same with the Russian ladies. I have never seen anything like it. No joke, 7 of 10 are skinny and beautiful, at least in Vladimir, Russia.
