Hey everyone :)

i had a silly question regarding E-Verify.

So i have been hired last week and as a part of the hiring process i have to show proof that I'm eligible to legally work in the United States.  I have my EAD card and Green Card. The lady at work asked me about the card number , the alien number. It was done online but I discovered just today that there was a form I-9 to fill out !

So the question is , is the form I-9 to be on paper all the time or it could be something that can be filled out on a computer by the Human ressources person ? Because they have all the information but i don't know if they need the I-9 paper !! I'm just kinda nervous if I missed an information.

in case I can just print off the I-9 form , fill out my part , join a copy of my EAD/ green card as well and tell her where to send it to ( Which Is something i don't know either )

thank you all in advance for the precious information :)

you can participate in the e-verify program. but commonly in my experience you will need to fill a form whether in paper but in big companies you will be prompted to fill and electronic form. Depend on each employer

See that's kinda confusing to me :( the HR entered my GC I formations in the computer but that's about it , I don't think this is right so I'm probably gonna have to print that off and fill it , and give it to her then.

participating to the E verify program is the self check isn't it ? Thanks for the answer

Why are you using your EAD when you have a Green Card ?

You dont have to fill this and send it to USCIS. The employer will keep the I-9 in their file.
