Bringing my brother

Hello, . I’m a USC and want to petition my brother from the Philippines. I know will have to wait long before he will be able to get here. My question is I don’t know which one should I use for affidavit form? I-864ez or I-864? Since my husband and I filed our taxes as joint. Thanks in advance for the advice.

you will use I-864 but that is 20 years away

 You will use whatever form they use in the year  2040 or so

Thanks! So all I need to submit for now is I-130? I thought I read somewhere that I will need to submit 1-864 the same time I file I-130.

you don't need to contact uscis every time, its only at the nvc stage you do that

i'm fb1 7 years wait and my mother didn't contact uscis every year and i just did my interview last week

Thanks a lot for the advice. I guess it won’t hurt if I keep contacting the uscis or nvc every once a year. 🙂

I have another question. Once I file my petition for my brother; am I able to invite him as a tourist here in the US? Since it’s gonna be a long years yet to wait.

Sure. But by "invite", it really is just asking him. After that, getting the visa will be completely in his own hands and based upon his ties to his home country.
