OP, I was an international student (F-1) and I adjusted status after I got married. You can file the whole package ( just follow the guides, but make sure you have the most recent forms, you can go to the website of USCIS and download the most recent ones) and sent it out with the two checks ( $535 + $1225) and all required documents.

I know it can be overwhelming, but if you take the time to read the guides you will see that it is very easy.

Good luck

So i can mail every thing off in the envolope with the filing fee or check of $1760 an that would be completed is there any added infortmation like a cover letter of what’s in the envolope? How do you prepare that package to be sent off?

You can mail it all together in one envelope, but it is also suggested by USCIS that each application type (and their supporting documents) be separated by a big rubber band so it doesn't get confusing for the person reviewing your package.  Plus different applications are sent to different departments for processing.

Cover letters are not mandatory, but a good idea as it outlines exactly what you are sending to them...and also helps you make sure you didn't forget to include something as you are going on preparing everything.

Also make sure you photocopy each of your applications/cover letters/evidence for your own records incase you need to look back on them at some point.

The guides on VJ are a good place to start, as well as carefully reading the instruction guides on the USCIS website when filling out each application.  Don't be afraid to continue asking questions here, either, if you are still unsure of something after reading everything.  Best of luck with your filing!

It says this in the USCIS instructions:

2. If you need extra space to complete any item within this petition, use the space provided in Part 9. Additional Information or attach a separate sheet of paper; type or print your name and A-Number (if any) at the top of each sheet; indicate the Page Number, Part Number, and Item Number to which your answer refers; and sign and date each sheet.

So basically, you can either choose to add the information in part 9 or you can add a separate sheet of paper.
