My situation is, we just got married last Sept. 2017... now im ready to file a petition for her to come here in USA. She lives in canada with permanent resident status... im having hardtime on the form because i wanna use my last name for her to use as her last name... but the problem all of her documents including passport still on her last name? I know she can use my last name because we have our marriage contract as a proof but im not sure if it will conflict the last name on her docs including passport incase the petition will be approved coming here? Do we have to change her passport 1st before i file? Or just petition her with her original last name and we just change her last name.once she got in here in USA? Need professional advice and based on experience...
