Online Case Status for NVC

Is there online case status available for cases at NVC (similar to USCIS, which I found to be very useful with case touch dates and updates)? nvcinquiry email is the only thing I can see for NVC.

This is what I have:

You can use your CIS (NOA) receipt number from your approval to find out.

On calling the NVC automated voice response number (603) 334-0700 you will.... press 1 for English press 2 for Spanish

press 1 for information about your immigrant visa

It will then ask you if you know your CIS receipt number.....press 1

(Once you have a case number you can use this.....press 2)

You then follow the instructions to key in your number.

It will then tell you if NVC has received the petition, and assigned a number.

When making enquiries always put your case number in the subject line.

After you have a date of when it is leaving (approx) you tack all diplomatic pouches going from US to the Consulates by searching on the specific dates :

Select the approx dates you expect your package to go out which is usualy 3 to 4 days after NVC tells you they sent out the electronic communication.

put in reference number I-730 and click track.

My case was never found when calling the NVC and using the automated system. Finally, after about 3 weeks, I spoke with a live operator that told me my file went out to Bangkok the week before.

No, you can not get NVC status online. You can call NVC and get status as well as you can email NVC.

I put in the ref # and its keeps saying error
