Did you get your case and invoice number from NVC? If not then call them and get case and invoice number. After you get you case and invoice number, you have chose an agent for your case, which can be anyone ( petitioner, beneficiary or anyone you feel comfortable) in your case, it would probably be your lawyer. The purpose of the agent is that any information regarding your case will go to agent from then on. In my case, I (the petitioner) am the agent. After you do that, your agent will get an welcome email from NVC (wait about a week for the welcome email) and then you can start paying the fees one by one. In the mean time, I would recommend you to start gathering all the supporting documents you need. One suggestion. don't rely on your lawyer 100%, they intent to forget sometimes, what I figured from many Vj's member, inquire yourself  Good Luck !!

YES i did call NVC to get my case and invoice number  i called my lawyer and asked him if he had receive the letter from NVC he answered oh yes i did in the beginning of October i was like really.  I actually had to call him before he called me so he asked me to take a money order for 445$ to start the process of Visa i am guessing cause he didn't ex[plain much to me. so i am guessing like my husband entered illegally he has to travel to Ciudad Juarez thats another thing we don't know whats next. So its the Visa they are working on i guess and after that how much time does it take to receive news from NVC.   thanks

Hello!

I don't have an answer for you regarding the waiver.

However, you can check the following link to know the steps on NVC:

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/contact.html

I haven't checked in a while, but last thing I knew, NVC had a processing time of 11 weeks.

Good luck! :)
