notice of interview results after interview!!

Hi everyone!!

I just had an interview for my AOS last week. The interview went well. The officer is very nice and she told us that everything is all good to her for now. She also told us on the way she walked us out that my card will arrive in mail in 6-8 weeks. I thought that means I passed it but meanwhile she gave us this notice of interview results that said " your case is being held for review. At this time, USCIS does not require any further information or documentation from you. Should further information documents be required, you will receive a notice in the mail. we may also schedule you for another interview, you will receive a notice in the mail. Otherwise, a final decision will be mailed one your case is complete". This result is really confused to me. So I am worried if I made it or not. I checked my application online and nothing updated yet. It has been a week. By the way, I was F1 visa student and I used to work on campus so I have my social security card but it is showed on the card that only valid with DHS authorization. I asked the officer if I need to change it, she said she did not know I should go to social security office and ask them. For now, I only have my EAD on hand.

Sounds like there's no issue...just more waiting. The notice is pretty generic, and the website updates aren't always accurate.

 

Once you get the green card, you can go to the SSA and get a new, unrestricted card.
