San Francisco Office Question (N400)

Hello,

I applied on March 25th and my Fingerprint Appointment was on April 17th.

What worries me is that my case is still stuck in "Fingerprint Appointment Was Scheduled" and based on N400 data from Trackitt people who applied just one month before me (February) had already gotten their Interview letters back in August.

Would you recommend submitting a case inquiry to USCIS considering all the circumstances?

Thanks in advance.

@campbell85 I filed mine March 31 still in line for interview. I submitted an inquiry and called twice they said my case is still in the normal processing time. All I can do is wait. And if I dont get my interview date by November Im gonna call them again. Some of the March filers here have Oath Ceremony Date already.

Try to call them.

  • 3 weeks later...

Hello and thank you for your replies. It's been almost a month since I created this topic and my case status is still "Fingerprint Appointment Scheduled" (March 25th Priority Date).

Do you think it's time for me to schedule an infopass appointment and/or submit an online case inquiry?

Thanks in advance.

That is so unusual... You should have been scheduled an interview for now. From your PD to now is 227 days. SF Office completes a case about 255-260 days.

Your case is stuck at the Biometric stage. Try to submit online case inquiry, or contact your Congressman.

Called USCIS and they told me they can't do anything up until the processing date changes to March on their website (right now it's January as of September 30th, 2017).

The online case inquiry form is not allowing me to submit itself because it says that my case is "within normal processing times".

And the SF office doesn't have any available Infopass appointments at the moment. Are there any other options that I haven't yet tried?

Thanks again.

I called them a month ago and the officer I talked to submitted an inquiry to SF office about my case and the SF office replied by an email saying that its still on normal processing time and pending to be scheduled for future appoinment and they need Additional time to process the case since they process it in order received. My PD is March 31 and been inline since May 2nd. If I dont get my interview date this month, by December will call them again and will talk to an L2 officer. People said L2 officer can see more information about our application.

Do you think it would make sense for me to also try to call USCIS again and ask them to submit an inquiry to the local SF office, just like you did? Or would calling and asking for an L2 officer be more productive at this point?

It's very strange that some people who filed in March have their Oath ceremony scheduled already and we are not even invited for an interview, I'm just trying to understand if there's some kind of anomaly associated with our cases.

Just wait a week or 2 if you dont get anything try to call them again Ask for an L2 officer. If the answer is still the same. Maybe all we can do is wait. I called them last month just to make sure there’s no problem with my application. Knowing its still on the normal processing time its good enough. Did you tell them that your online status or your case is stuck on fingerprint appt schedule?

Yes, they told me that sometimes local offices forget to update the case status and that it's a completely normal situation. Maybe it makes sense to give them a few more weeks then.

Thanks.
