Same judge. Same island.

Unfortunately for he so-called president, the third time, apparently, is not the charm.

Judge Temporarily Halts New Version of Trump’s Travel Ban

It would have indefinitely stopped almost all travel to the United States from seven countries, including most of the Muslim-majority nations included in his original travel ban.

Tuesday’s ruling was yet another legal setback for one of Mr. Trump’s earliest and most controversial efforts. The judge, Derrick K. Watson of Federal District Court in Honolulu, had previously blocked Mr. Trump’s second travel ban from taking effect in March. The White House’s first executive order sharply limiting travel from seven predominantly Muslim countries was blocked by a federal judge in Seattle.

The third executive order went further than the original, imposing permanent restrictions on travel instead of the original 90-day suspension. Under the newest version, most citizens of Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Chad and North Korea were to be excluded from entering the United States, while citizens of Iraq and some groups of people in Venezuela who attempted to visit the United States would have faced extra barriers to entry. It was scheduled to go into effect on Wednesday.

Wait, isn't this the same judge that blocked it the first time and got overturned by the SC?

Yes. Good to see he's not backing down from his duties. If Trump wants a ban, he has to write his royal edict in a way that's within the frame of the constitution. Ah, and he also has to sign it... LOL.

So he is a Liberal Federal Judge that does not adhere to the Constitution at all, and that is why he got shut down before hand. He will get shut down again this time as well.

Yes, parts of the ban were upheld, while others weren't. That's how democracy works. Trump is not a monarch (yet), no matter how much he tries to behave like one.

Still, the Constitution always trumps EOs.  Pun intended.

The Constitution also trumps Liberal judges as well that don't actually look at the law but the feelings and how things look. So you can have today and pat yourself on the back but when the SC upholds the ban I will laugh.

It would not surprise me if the judge didn't just copy and past his argument from his original ruling.

That's how it's done. The judge and Trump can do their dance, but they need to stay within the lines.
