Hi,
Can anyone give me an advice? Last June I applied for a US tourist visa. I honestly stated that I am going to visit my boyfriend so we can meet in person, I am unemployed, and just recently graduated few months from that time, but then I got denied. I reapplied and went for an interview July 20th so obviously no changes happened within the short time and i still honestly stated everything I said on the first interview, but still I got denied. August 23, my boyfriend visited me instead and we got engaged while he was here. It was the first time we met in 1 year and 6 months of relationship. Then, this October he filed a Fiance petition for me and we are just waiting for it. However, I am planning to visit him for holidays and for his birthday so it means i would need to reapply for a tourist visa again. Is there a high possibility that i'll get denied again even if we are obviously doing things legally?

I did the same I told my fiance to go an apply for a tourist visa, I get a letter from my parents saying they invite my bf for 1 month to visit our country, he has a job, good pay, but they denied, at first I thought why?

the problem here is that they denied his visa because he has a strong tie to the USA AND IT IS ME,  and he can stay illegally in the USA because he has a reason  I'm his girlfriend and I am American, so that's the reason they denied his visa.  I didn't apply for the k1 visa yet, I will apply for the k1 visa next month in November, the thing is that if they already apply for the k1 visa, in the tourist visa they ask you if u have a k1 process or something like that,  you can put that and there are more chances of giving you one, because you already had a process A LEGAL process of going to USA .

hmm...:/ i would say you have a 99% chance of being denied. oh, add in the 2 B2 denials already and that just jumped up to 100%!

zero chance of getting a visa....c hill tho bc your k1 will be ready to go in under 8 months

  1. I would definitely safe your money and just focus on a the K1 visa, your chances of getting an approved tourist visa with 2 denied ones in less than a year are cero.
  2. Having a k1 visa process going on will actually make things for the tourist visa, to go even harder
  3. I strongly suggest you to read the k1 timelines and processing times, it takes at least 6 months but is a more complex process. Focus on read and learn everything you will have to do in the next couple of months
  4. Never lie to the USCIS

I was in a similar case in 2011 when my husband and I wanted to be see each other while waiting for our process. The thing is that I just tried once before meeting my husband and we rather just to pursuit the K1 visa because I didn't want to waste my money or my time, trying to get a tourist visa.

Is actually really hard to get one, you need to proof strong ties to your country and show your assets as well. When I applied I had a degree, a estable well paid job, I had my own car, and my own apartment (the mortgage was under my name) I also had a saving accounts with more than $4000 and I got denied. Single, unemployed and young without children? it was pretty obvious.

So just solely focus on your road ahead, read, get informed and safe your money

I have been issued B2 visa, Just make yourself ready that you gonna get the visa at any cost, convince the VO, keep the smile on face, show a good job and good salary, that's what they ask.
