Good evening everyone,

I just got a letter today from NVC as well as an e-mail with, stating that my K-1 visa petition has been forwarded to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Manila.  I am absolutely stoked about this but at the same time panicking as to what to do next?  I finally have our MNL number, but what exactly do I do with it?  I've started to collect paperwork that I will send to my fiancee, which includes the I-134 form, letter from my employer, bank, taxes, proof of ongoing relationship, etc, and I'll soon be ready to ship it to her, but what exactly do I do with the MNL number?  Also, how do we go about booking an appointment for the medical in St. Luke's Hospital in Manila?  I apologize for all the questions.  Before coming here I did read up on this guide here http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide but there are some things that it does not explain like the things mentioned above.  Thank you for your time folks and thank you in advance!

Geowrian, thank you so much for all that info.  Wow! ...where do I begin?  Ooookay, I did not expect that amount of complexity.  Well, time to start reading and preparing :D  What a great link, thank you again!

You're welcome! Thank @Hank_ actually. :)

There's not a whole lot of complexity...just take it one item at a time.

Technically yes, but it rarely ever gets to the recipient in the Philippines, or does so wayyyyyy late. PhilPost is like a black hole.

The link above has a link to Packet 4.

I thought only IndiaPost has issues. I never received my Packet 4 and had to contact ustraveldocs and they had to e-mail me packet 4 details.

No, Philpost is just as bad. The majority of people NEVER receive the the Packet 3 or anything at all. So we tell them to just disregard this because if they are waiting for it, it might never arrive.

That's bad ...if the govt post is bad then they should go for private courier service

They do for the passport delivery at least (2GO). But the packet is available online so it's not that big of a deal.

But it does throw people off thinking that the beneficiary will get the packet and so they are waiting around for it for weeks and months.

@Luyen Indeed its not as complex as it looks.  My fiancee and I went from MNL# from picking up visa at 2go in 36 days.  Having said that,  it would be best to take a step back and familiarize yourself with the documents you need and the process.  Once you have all your ducks in order, you can move as fast as you desire.   Good luck!

I've started to collect paperwork that I will send to my fiancee, which includes the I-134 form, letter from my employer ARE YOU A NEW EMPLOYEE?  IF NO.. NOT NEEDED, bank NOT NEEDED, taxes MOST RECENT TAX RETURN AND W2, proof of ongoing relationship, etc, and I'll soon be ready to ship it to her, but what exactly do I do with the MNL number?  Also, how do we go about booking an appointment WALK-IN, FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED for the medical in St. Luke's Hospital in Manila?  I apologize for all the questions.  Before coming here I did read up on this guide here http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide but there are some things that it does not explain like the things mentioned above.  Thank you for your time folks and thank you in advance!

That VJ guide will not help you.   For your own good don't use it for the process at USEM

NVC letter.. email a copy to your fiancee, with the MNL# she can do EVERYTHING.      Your fiancee should print out a few copies of the NVC letter for when she does the medical at SLEC.

@geowrian gave you the link for the process in Manila  http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

1) Pay the visa fee at BPI

2) Complete the DS-160

3) Setup your account and schedule your interview

4) Complete the medical at SLEC   (there is NO reason to show up at SLEC super early O' DARK-THIRTY, arrive about an hour after SLEC opens, lot less waiting.  Do make sure to complete the online pre-registration)

5) CFO

There are link for SLEC and CFO with more detailed info regarding them.

People get this whole process done, including the interview in 4 weeks or less... ;)    Not that  you have to "burn rubber" ..

Oh you guys are awesome! Thank you so much for all the info :) By the way, should I schedule an interview first before having her go to St. Luke's?  Again, thank you everyone for so many wonderful guides and insights about everything.
