I am a early June filer and am anticipating my NOA2 within the next month or so.

I was hoping for input from March, April, May filers who have their beneficiary in the UK.

Any insight, tips and processing times that you have personally experienced with the NVC is appreciated.

thanks everyone

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm a K-1 April filer, it took us around 3 weeks for processing end to end.

After around a week we got the case number by calling up NVC, then you can track it on the CEAC tracker, once it's in Transit the US Fiance gets sent a confirmation letter from NVC and around 2/3 days after the case has landed in London and the CEAC tracker changed to ready you'll receive your Packet 3 in a brown envelope.

In then mean time you can prepare documents and schedule a medical appointment as you have the NVC number.

Hope this helps, @AZSunshine78

I'm also a start of June filer - do you think its reasonable to be planning on making move by end Jan 2018?

Hi @Tim & Tiff

Not ambitious at all. Once you receive your NOA-2 and NVC has processed a case number it's actually move very fast and it's all in your control how fast it goes. I would consider collecting as much of the documents as possible as soon as you get your NOA-2 or even now start considering where and what to get in order for you to make the best use of your time and speed up the process further.

Worth looking ahead at what is required for the interview: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/

I'm pending a foreign police clearance record which will get sent directly to the embassy which has slowed me up by around a month due to processing, but if that wasn't in the way I feel we would have closed and had the interview already.

The embassy is open for most of December also which is in your favour, only closing for a few days across the festive period.  Best of luck on your journey, and hope you hear back on your approval shortly.

Best,

Sunj
