I applied for my parents GC last year (July 2016) and their application is still under processing. They were able to travel to India and came back to the US recently under i131, and the AP has now expired.

They may have to travel again, hence, my question is; how do I go about the AP renewal process and is there a fee? I have searched and browsed many forums with conflicting answers. Do I simply file a new i131 for AP along with the expired AP and send a copy of the i485 USCIS letter stating application is under process? I'm assuming no fee, but can someone please chime in who has recently done this and list out the steps.

I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!
